I promised my beach volleyball team I’d bake for them and we need a big W this week so hopefully these Choclate Chip Nutella Krisp Cookies will provide some motivation! These delicious cookies are enhanced with nutella and rice puff cereal to give some crunch. Inspired by a recipe from The Nerd’s Wife food blog, their chocolate, hazelnut flavour is sinful and the chewy texture is addicting.
This recipe will make about 2 dozen cookies.
½ cup butter
2/3 cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 ½ tsp vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
¼ cup Nutella
1 cup chocolate chips
½ cup Rice Puff cereal
Mix together butter, white sugar and brown sugar with an electric mixer. Add in the two eggs and vanilla and whisk together.
Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add the flour mixture to the batter, mixing until smooth and consistent.
Add the Nutella by swirling it throughout the dough. Add the chocolate chips and Rice Puffs cereal and stir all together.
Using a spoon, drop the dough onto sprayed baking sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges start to harden and turn light brown, then let them continue to bake on the counter for a few minutes until they’re cool and ready to eat. Nothing like fresh cookies out of the oven!
