Asian Slaw

This salad is wicked because it is really easy, lasts a long time and is nutritious. It was a part of my make ahead lunch brigade.

Colourful slaw



  • 1/2 cup red cabbage
  • 1/2 cup green cabbage
  • 1/2 a cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 greens onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup silvered almonds, toasted
  • 1/4 cup Mr. Noodles, toasted


  • 4 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp hoisin
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic power

1. Slice all of the slaw ingredients thinly and combine

2. In a pan, heat olive oil and toast the almonds and noodles for 2 minutes or until browned

3. Combine dressing ingredients and toss salad
